I have a win 10 machine with a network printer installing on it. I have enable the RDP session to use local printers but when using RDP into a windows 7 computer the printer will not show up as a redirected printer.
I have tried:
Nov 17, 2017 - The basics of RDP printer redirection in Server 2012. For printer redirection, the 'Windows printer' option should be selected. Aug 9, 2009 - Windows Remote Desktop Printer Redirection Problems – Clever Solution. That held onto. Role player hauled 10 passes for Huarache.
on the local printer properties: under ports: enabling printer pooling and selecting LPT1 and the the ip of the printer installed then on the remote windows 7 computer under printer properties> ports: selecting that same LPT port but that does not work.

I also tried choosing one of the TSXX ports on the remote win 7 computer and it will print a test page at that point but when once the RDP is disconnected and the local computer is rebooted and then reconnected to win 7 machine via RDP. The printing to local printer over RDP will no longer work and the TSXX port now shows as TS Inactive port .
Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?
